Studying the Bible is vital. It is alive and relevant to our life today. We accept Scripture as God’s Word to us and inspired by the Holy Spirit. Not only does the Bible instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. Please join us for worship and study.

Sunday School: First Presbyterian Church offers a variety of Christian education classes for children, youth and adults. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. following the Worship Service.

Sunday Morning Worship: Our Worship Service employs an appropriate blend of traditional hymns and short choruses. Our service is structured around the Word of God, and the hymns, the prayers and the sermon are meant to interpret faithfully God’s will as revealed in Scripture. Service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Children’s Sermon: During morning worship, we have a special Children’s Message. All the children are invited to the front of the church to listen to a special sermon. It is led by Dr. Robert Rooks or another church member and ends with a prayer. After the message, the children can return to sit with their parents or go to the toddler room to play.

Communion: On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, or Communion. You do not have to be a member of our church to participate in the sacrament, as we invite all Christians to celebrate communion with us. Baptized children of believing parents are welcome to partake if the parents deem it appropriate.

Special Services: Special services are held during the Easter and Christmas seasons including: Lent, Holy Week, Good Friday, Easter, Advent and Christmas Eve.

Choir Practice: Choir practice is held each Wednesday night at 7:15pm from August through May. There is no choir practice in June and July.

Great Banquet: The Great Banquet is a weekend-long retreat where participants examine their faith and relationship with God in a fun and inspiring atmosphere. Through worship and study, people of all faith levels learn more about the love of God at work in their lives. For more information you can go to

Bring-A-Dish Fellowship Luncheons: Everyone is invited to bring a dish and enjoy a meal together immediately following the Worship service on the third Sunday in March, May, August, September, November, and December.
